So, I gave the shoe 5 stars but the truth is that I had to return these due to a size defect and order them from Zappos. The Zappos shoes are perfect. My original shoes were ordered here from shoeline and while they were good about allowing me to return them at no charge, it's still a hassle to have to do that. The left shoe was a size smaller than the right. If you can find a good source I recommend these. I got the black leather and they are so soft and wide enough for my semi-wide feet. I normally wear a size 9M in Sofft shoes and boots and that is what I ordered. The 'good' shoes are slightly big but nothing to fret about. I would not recommend these for people with narrow or skinny feet. I like that the top of the shoe covers a lot of my upper foot which is good for the colder months of the year. I can wear these with almost anything year round which makes them a staple in my wardrobe.
