I was not expecting a patent leather finish. The picture shows a dull, non reflective leather. I supposed this will keep the shoes cleaner so that is a plus; yet I wanted a more natural look…The fact is I like the shoes regardless and my husband complimented on them so that makes them “ a keeper “ overall. I hesitated buying Birkenstock which were cheaper but the cut out leather was unique to the pricey Mephisto… as always ??‍♀️
