I should have ordered a size 8, but they didn't have it in stock so I tried a size 7. I usually wear a size 7, 7.5 or 8 in different brands. Sandals I usually can wear a 7 in. However, the toe strap on these were unbearably tight. It hurt just trying them on around my house. I don't have wide fit, I would say regular to narrow (although I am pregnant so they could be a bit swollen). They seemed like they could be comfortable, and they were cute, so I probably would have ordered a size 8 if it was available. I liked the leather/natural materials feel on my feet.I read in one review that someone mentioned cutting out the toe strap. I thought of doing that, they look cute without it too (I tried just tucking it under). But ... they are were just too expensive for me to cut into I think. Also, one additional complaint is that I like to just slip on my sandals/shoes with minimal effort at the door. It seemed like I might have to undo and redo the metal buckle each time I put them on (although maybe the leather would stretch with time and I could slip them on). I liked the buckle as I don't really like velcro ... but I wouldn't have liked the effort in the long run.Tried on and then returned. These are super cute but also comfortable. I walked miles in these through Europe and they were fabulous!!!I had to buy a second pair in case I ever ruin the first, but so far that hasn’t happened after consistent wear for a year. I am on my feet all day at work and have a hard time finding sandals that are comfortable enough. These hit the mark and will also be the perfect travel sandal as they go with anything!Fit: I normally wear size 7 in sandals, and the 7 fit perfectly. My feet are average to slightly skinny: 3.5" wide (measured by tracing foot on paper and measuring between 2 widest spots), 2" wide at the heel. REI near me was carrying this style, so worth checking if you want to try on in person.I really love this sandal for these reasons:- This has excellent arch support and heel cup for a sandal of this style. The bottom is also more non-skid than most sandals, which are often terrible.-I absolutely love this criss-cross strappy look and fit for sandals. I had a favorite cheap Payless pair that I wore for years, and then searched for years for a replacement, which has been impossible to find till now. It goes with anything, particularly any summer dresses that have black, when you want to wear something that passes with a dress, but be comfortable walking in. My cheap Payless pair had slightly thinner straps, with contrasting white stitching against the black, so they were slightly cuter, but these are still cute, comfy, and versatile.- The cross strap design on the big toe doesn't hurt the toe, like sandals with toe posts can. I can't wear any sandals with a toe-post, but I can wear these.-This pair was feeling slightly tight on my big toe, after wearing a bit when my feet swelled, but a few seconds stretching the leather with my fingers fixed that. Being good quality leather, they conform to your feet nicely.Cons (kind of):- The footbed of the shoe is a solid plastic/ slightly rubbery material, which doesn't breath well, but the upside of that is it is very durable and can be cleaned easily. But since the upper is leather, that limits the versatility of a plastic footbed, where you can get it wet without worry. I don't live where it is very hot, so it is bearable. It has a nice finish, so it feels better against the skin than a lot of plastic/rubbery sandals. (Update: I have since found that sometimes you are in an unexpected situation where your sandals get wet, as in an impromptu visit to the beach with friends. These sandals survived walking in ocean water, though I don't recommend doing it on a regular basis. I do love that the rubbery footbed cleans so easily and does well if it gets unexpectedly wet.)-The arch support and heel cup is nice, but on a thin sole. I think the Vionic Tide flip-flops are a notch higher when it comes to sandal support, that you can wear all day and your feet will feel great. These are dressier, of course.- The price tag at $90 is double what it should be, for what it is, but it's a style I've been searching years for (with arch support thrown in, to boot.)Wish other colors were available in my size, but this style apparently is being phased out. Maybe they’ll come out with a similar shoe. This shoe is so comfortable right out of the box. I love having toe and heel straps, but also wanted a thinner sole. I can’t cheapo shoes due to a neuroma in my left foot. I like Chaco sandals but their leather sandal isn’t as appealing to the eye. The buckles are easy to slide on and off with the olukai. Hoping they come out with a similar sandal soon so I can get a pair of black sandalsI have been wearing OluKai size 6 flip flops for 10+ years, so when I saw these sandals I ordered my normal size 6 and had to return them as the straps were too short to buckle back. I returned for a size 7 and they are perfect. The shoes are cute, fit well and have the OluKai support that feels good on your feet.I bought these as my go-to cute and comfortable walking sandal. After reading many reviews and scouring the internet for my best options, I chose these and don't regret it at all! I love the design and the brown and gold color. So versatile, can dress up and down with shorts or a dress/skirt. The first few times I wore them, the right shoe felt too tight overall as if it was smaller or my right foot was bigger, particularly with the top straps. I was worried this would stay, but I read a few reviews mentioning that the feeling would go away and they would adjust to your foot. They were right and now I'm walking everywhere in them since I moved to Madrid, Spain a few weeks ago. My feet don't hurt at all in them now. Very happy!
