In 2016 I had a surgical complication that required me to wear an AFO. Finding shoes was difficult. I found these shoes and have worn them ever since. My AFO fits nicely into the shoe, and I did not have to size up, so the other shoe fits nicely on the foot without the brace. I did go up one size in width, but the shoe is comfortable on both feet. I like the black because I can wear them when I dres up, or when I dress casual. I buy extra pairs when I can because I am afraid of them not being available when I need them.I would recommend them for anyone who needs to wear an AFO. ( ankle foot orthotic).
